Arlington Police responded to a major crash investigation around 6:45 pm this evening involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian. The crash occurred in the 400 block of E. Sublett Road near Matlock Road.
Investigators believe that the pedestrian attempted to cross the road from the north to south and was struck by a motorcycle traveling eastbound in the right lane. The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The operator of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, was also taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The name of the deceased will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner once next of kin has been notified. Investigators are looking into the possibility that alcohol might have played a factor on the pedestrian's part of entering the roadway.
