A.P.D. TRAINING ACADEMY

Arlington Police Academy

The Arlington Police Academy provides training for police, civilian, and volunteer employees of the Arlington Police Department.  We are an accredited police academy licensed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE).

Throughout the year we offer various training courses, some of which are open to non-departmental personnel.  Open courses are normally limited to licensed peace officers and public safety employees sponsored by their agency.  You can find out more about available classes by selecting the Open Classes link.

We are not a public police academy.  Our classes typically are open only to bona fide law enforcement personnel sponsored by their employing agency.  Our Basic Police Academy classes are open only to employees of the Arlington Police Department.
