Sgt. Jonathan Grant-Brooks
I started my career with the Arlington Police Department on October 24, 2005 after earning my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice
from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I heard about the Arlington Police Department's emphasis on geographic community based policing
and the reputation of building leaders in law enforcement. I have found that reputation to be true and I have observed the opportunities
the department has provided officers. I have had opportunities to serve in the Patrol Division and the School Resource Unit. I have
supervised the North H.E.A.T Unit and currently the Personnel and Recruiting Unit. As a member of the Arlington Police Department,
I had an opportunity to attain a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington as part of the CRCJ Cohort
Program. During my career with the Arlington Police Department I have had an opportunity to develop lifelong friendships with
other criminal justice professionals. The Arlington Police Department has provided me an opportunity to serve my community and
provide a great living for my family.

I joined the Arlington Police Department in 2003. I
received my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice
from the University of North Texas. I chose to work
for the Arlington Police Department for a variety of
reasons. Our department's standards and values are
parallel to the ones I choose to follow in my
personal life. I grew up in Arlington, attended
Arlington schools and participated in police
programs such as Explorers and Citizen's Police
Academy. I had the opportunity to experience
firsthand the professionalism that runs throughout
this police department and I am proud to serve the
community I grew up in.
I joined the Arlington Police Department in 1984. I
received a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in
Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at
Arlington. I joined APD because I wanted to be a
part of a large department that offers plenty of
opportunities, but one small enough so that I can
get to know everyone. It has been a rewarding career.

I joined the Arlington Police Department in 2007. I received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Lamar University and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. I chose APD because I wanted to serve the community I grew up in. I have spent my time at the Arlington Police Department as a patrol officer. My career at APD has been
exciting and I can't wait to learn more and grow as a person and as a police officer.

I joined the Arlington Police Department in 1987 and have enjoyed my many years in the Personnel Recruiting Unit. I chose APD because I was a single parent at the time looking for a company with good benefits and a stable work environment. I found these things and much more with APD.
