Police Explorers assist with video on dangers of underage drinking and driving

The Arlington Police Department has produced an educational video on the dangers of underage drinking and driving. What makes this video unique is that it was filmed entirely with our local Police Explorer Post #602. This is one of the longest running posts in Texas and is made up of young people who have expressed interest in future careers as law enforcement professionals.

Our local post exposes teens to police-related training and many of the explorers are also involved in community service projects that benefit the Arlington community. Explorers also compete annually with other posts from around the state in law enforcement procedures.

Underage drinking and driving can lead to tragic consequences. With the summer upon us, more teens will be out on the roadways. APD wants young people to make smart decisions.

Location: North Police Station/Media Office – 620 W. Division Street
Details: We are trying to get one of the explorers from the video to speak on camera.
